Understand your visitors better with the Cart Activity page
Ever wondered what’s really happening inside your visitors’ carts?
The Cart Activity page in Pop Convert gives you an inside look at how shoppers interact with your store, from what they add to their cart to what they leave behind.
It’s not just numbers. It’s your chance to understand why visitors buy (or don’t buy), and how you can help them complete their purchase.
What you’ll see on the Cart Activity page
Each entry on this page gives you a snapshot of a visitor’s shopping activity.
You’ll find these columns:
- Buyer – The shopper’s ID, email (if captured), location, and contact info.
- Cart – The products they added to their cart, including quantity and images.
- Total – The total cart value at the time of the last update.
- Updated At – The last time the shopper interacted with their cart.
- Status – Whether the cart is Active, Inactive, or Abandoned.
And at the top right, there’s an Export button so you can download your cart data for further analysis or reporting.
Why this data matters
The Cart Activity page helps you understand:
- Which products are most frequently added to carts
- How much potential revenue is sitting in abandoned carts
- When and where shoppers drop off
- Which regions or customers are most engaged
These insights make it easier to spot trends, test strategies, and optimize your campaigns.
How to use it effectively
- Track high-value abandoned carts
Sort or filter to find shoppers with large cart totals who didn’t complete checkout. These are prime candidates for a follow-up popup or email reminder.
- Use the “Updated At” column to spot drop-off times
If many carts become inactive around the same time (e.g., after adding shipping details), that’s a clue something might be discouraging users.
- Export your data
Download the data with one click and review it with your marketing or sales team. This helps you decide where to focus recovery efforts.
- Connect to automations
Pop Convert makes it easy to trigger automations when a cart is abandoned, for example, a popup offering a discount or a reminder email to return and complete the purchase.
⚡ Pro Tip
Carts labeled “Inactive” aren’t lost, they’re opportunities.
These users may still be browsing or comparing options. Set up an exit-intent popup or a cart value discount to nudge them back before they leave for good.
The Cart Activity page turns what used to be guesswork into clear, actionable insights. It shows you who’s adding to cart, who’s abandoning, and where your store can improve.
Use it regularly to monitor performance, understand customer behavior, and recover lost sales, because every cart tells a story.
