How to customize close button
By default, Pop Convert adds a simple "X" close button to your popup. You can style it to match your brand or even replace it with a custom SVG.
Option 1: Style the default button
You can change the appearance of the built-in close button directly in the editor.
- Open your popup campaign.
- Go to the Design tab.
- Click Close Button.
- From here, you can:
- Set a button timer (choose when it appears after the popup loads).
- Change the button color and background.
- Adjust padding and icon size.
- Add or edit borders (color, width, radius).
- Choose the offset of the close button
Option 2: Use a custom SVG
If you want a unique close button (like a custom icon or branded graphic), you can upload your own SVG.
- In the same Close Button settings, look for the Custom Close Button option.
- Add your custom icon URL. You can use free icon libraries like Icons8 to get SVG or PNG icons. Copy the image link and add it to your close button settings.
- Save your campaign. Your uploaded SVG will now appear in place of the default “X”.
Tips
- Keep the button simple and recognizable so visitors know it closes the popup.
- Test on both desktop and mobile to make sure it’s easy to click/tap.
