Form Fields
Pop Convert forms let you collect the information you need from your visitors using different types of form fields. Each field type is designed for a specific kind of input, and you can decide whether a field is required or optional.
Here’s an overview of all the form fields you can use:
Standard Fields
Collect your visitor’s email address.
- Phone
Collect a phone number for follow-ups or notifications.
- Name
Collect a visitor’s full name or first name.
- Birthday
Collect a visitor’s birthdate.
Custom Field Types
- Text
A single-line text input.
Best for: Names, short answers, one-word or short-phrase responses.
- Number
Accepts only numeric input.
Best for: Age, quantity, order numbers, or any numeric information.
- Date
A field where visitors can select or type a date.
Best for: Birthdates, appointments, preferred delivery dates, or event forms.
- Select
A dropdown menu with predefined options.
Best for: Country lists, budget ranges, single-choice answers.
- Checkbox
Allows visitors to tick or untick a box.
Best for: Accepting terms and conditions, newsletter opt-ins, yes/no questions, or multi-selection options.
- Radio
A list of options where visitors can choose only one.
Best for: Single-choice questions, preferences, or answers like “How did you hear about us?”
- Switch
A toggle-style on/off field.
Best for: Simple yes/no answers, turning settings on or off, or quick preferences (e.g., “Subscribe to updates”).
- Textarea
A multi-line input box for longer messages.
Best for: Comments, feedback, special requests, or detailed answers.
Field Settings
- Field Label
The text displayed above the input, telling the visitor what information you are asking for.
Example: “Phone number”, “Preferred style”, “Delivery notes”.
- Field Placeholder
Example text inside the input box that guides the visitor.
Example: “Enter your phone number”, “Type your message here…”
This text disappears once the visitor starts typing.
- Field Required Toggle
Decide if a field is required or optional:** **
- ON: The visitor must fill it before submitting.
- OFF: The visitor can skip it.
This setup ensures your forms are flexible and only ask for the information you truly need, while keeping the experience smooth for your visitors.
