Double Opt-In

The double opt-in feature adds an extra step to your subscription process by asking customers to confirm their email addresses before they are added to your mailing list. Here’s why this matters:
It prevents fake or mistyped email addresses from being added to your list.
Some countries require double opt-in to ensure people have explicitly agreed to receive marketing emails.
Subscribers who take the time to confirm are more likely to engage with your emails.

If your business operates in regions where double opt-in is required or if you want a cleaner, more accurate email list, enabling this feature is a great choice.

Steps to enable Double Opt-In

How to enable double opt-in

Open your Pop Convert dashboard and navigate to Emails.
Click on Settings.
Turn on Double Opt-In. Under the Opt-In section, toggle the button to enable the double opt-in feature.
Once enabled, you’ll see an Edit Email button. Click it to personalize the email customers will receive to confirm their subscription.
Save your changes

What happens after enabling Double Opt-In?

When someone subscribes to your list, their email subscription status will initially be set to Pending in your customer list. Once they receive the confirmation email and click the link to confirm, their status will automatically update to Subscribed.
